Rebuilding Minds, Rebuilding Gaza
The First Solar-Powered School for AI & Robotics in Gaza

After nearly two years of war, Gaza’s education system has collapsed. According to the Global Education Cluster, more than 95% of schools have been partially or completely destroyed, and 88% require major reconstruction. Save the Children reports that 87.7% of school buildings are damaged, leaving over 650,000 students with no access to education.

In tents with no electricity or internet, an entire generation risks losing not just a school year — but its future.

We refuse to let this happen.

Who We Are
We are Nasr Shweikh and Khalil Mubaid, engineers and educators from Gaza working in programming, robotics, and AI.

Our previous work includes:
  • Teaching robotics and coding to hundreds of students
  • Creating assistive-technology projects such as “Smart Eye”, an award-winning AI system for the visually impaired
  • Leading hands-on STEM workshops that help students build real robots and AI-powered devices

We founded GRAISE to bring back structured education through modern, technology-driven learning powered by solar energy.

Why This Project Matters Now
  • Education infrastructure collapsed: 95% of schools are damaged or destroyed.
  • Children left behind: Over 650,000 students are out of school.
  • No electricity or internet: makes any digital education impossible.
  • The global AI revolution continues — Gaza’s youth are excluded.
  • Risk of a lost generation: prolonged loss of education has irreversible consequences.

What We Already Achieved
Even under siege, we have:
  • Conducted robotics, AI, and coding workshops for students of all ages
  • Built small educational setups inside tents and temporary shelters
  • Designed a complete digital-literacy and robotics curriculum tailored to Gaza
  • Secured volunteer educators and international support networks
  • Launched our first prototype AI-education modules used by students in our workshops

These successes prove that learning is possible — even in crisis.

Our Vision
To create a Palestinian generation that is scientifically and technologically empowered, capable of rebuilding Gaza’s future and participating in the global digital economy.

Our Mission
  • Digital literacy: safe and effective computer use
  • Programming: Python, electronics, and problem-solving
  • Robotics & AI: hands-on building and coding
  • Teacher training: integrating AI into classrooms
  • Graduate empowerment: technical skills for the job market

First Milestone: €8,000 (Urgent)

With €8,000 we will:
  • Rent a safe classroom space
  • Connect to a solar-power line
  • Secure stable internet
  • Equip the room with desks, laptops, and robotics kits
  • Run two learning groups per day
  • Publish weekly visual + financial reports for transparency

This will allow us to start teaching immediately — even with one classroom.

Full First-Year Plan (USD 150,000–200,000)
  • Site preparation (containers or small building): $60k–70k
  • Solar system + batteries: $30k
  • Computers & lab equipment: $30k
  • Robotics kits + 3D printers: $10k
  • Internet (reliable): $12k/year
  • Salaries for teachers, technician, psychologist: $72k (6 months)
  • Training & partnerships: $10k
  • Psychosocial support & activities: $6k
  • This phase will serve 300+ students and create 10 local jobs.

Transparency & Accountability
  • Weekly financial + visual reports
  • Itemized expenses with invoices and photos
  • Funds received by Clarissa Haton (France) because GoFundMe cannot withdraw to Gaza
  • Clarissa transfers funds directly for equipment and operations
  • Independent oversight by partner educators and donors

How You Can Help
  • $10 – Student supplies
  • $50 – Desk or mini-computer
  • $250 – Solar panel or robotics kit
  • $1,000 – Sponsor a classroom for one month
  • $5,000 – Equip the full AI lab

A Call for Hope
“We may not erase the ruins, but we can plant hope in young minds.”

Help us build Gaza’s first solar-powered digital school.
Help us turn tents into classrooms — and despair into innovation.
