Graeme Campbell's Medical Expenses

I have organized this fundraiser on behalf of Graeme and Danna Campbell, to help cover recent and upcoming medical expenses.

Graeme Campbell is currently in Vancouver General Hospital in the ICU and his wife Danna is with him to make his medical care decisions.

On Jan 18, Graeme had a surgery to remove a portion of his left lung due to a cancerous tumour which was recently discovered. The surgery itself went well but 3 days later on Jan 21, he had a blood clot in his lung which caused him to go into cardiac arrest several times. He had 4 sets of chest compressions before his heart started beating again. He was brought to ICU where he has been in a medically induced coma since. There have been other complications with bleeding etc but he is now in stable condition in terms of his heart and lungs, but has swelling in his brain. As of Jan 26 he is being kept heavily sedated to allow his body to rest and heal. His recovery will be a slow process, and Graeme is expected to be in hospital for many weeks to come.

I am hoping to fundraise some money to cover Danna’s expenses and lost wages while living near the hospital in Vancouver so she can best support Graeme with his care and does not need to be stressed about their family finances at this already incredibly stressful time.
