Karen and Grady are friends of mine, who spend a majority of their personal time sharing their love of martial arts with children and adults in our area. Even though they have their own school, it is not a source of income, usually what they bring in is used to keep the the school running, and nothing more.
Last Wednesday when Grady and Karen returned home from their aikido class they were met by water running down the driveway and found their entire home flooded from a broken pipe. 3-4 inches of water covered the whole house and garage!
Insurance will cover much of the structural damage, but not the personal items. They have lost most of their furniture and personal items. They aren’t able to live in the home until repairs are made, and are staying in a hotel. They don’t know if they will be reimbursed for any of this expense or not.
Please help me raise some money to help these wonderful, giving people get their lives back together, and back in their home. Any amount will help.
