Graduation Short Film - Motion Blur 2025

Do you get that feeling every time you watch a classic romcom, whether it’s Notting Hill of Bridget Jones, there is something about it that lifts up those romantic stories.
We are very excited to share with you, our upcoming graduation film, Motion Blur.
Here, we follow Lara and David from their pursuits in the club. Their sexual tension screeches to a halt by the interruption of a rather brash taxi driver. We sit with them in the cab on their journey back to David’s place.
Finding ourselves stuck within the confines of this awkward ride, we explore the dynamics of romance; of being seen and perceived.
Motion Blur will be a simple and lighthearted, yet insightful glimpse into human nature
The Purpose Of This Film
Our director, Iman’s vision is to bring back the feel of a classic romcom. The ones that make us laugh and constantly make us return to rewatch and relive that experience!
It has been ages since we got one of those films! We are in need of not only a film that has a deeper meaning but a feel good film.
Where will the money go towards?
A Romantic Comedy created by the students of London Film Academy. My name is Grace, a current student in the last year of film school in the stages of pre-production. I am the producer of this short film. It is quite a technical challenging film for our budget which our Cinematographer, Jose James (whom recently won the award for best brief for the Xbox ad with Nahemi students award) would greatly benefit from the support that you could be part of.
However, with the nature of filmmaking, we are in need of some support to be able to finance the equipment that is needed. With the support that you can give, it would help us get access to some LED screens to simulate a moving vehicle to give the sense of a car is moving. Not only that it would go towards supporting the crew with food and necessities since we have a few night shoots.
We need the money to help enhance the quality of the film which that could provide us help immensely from a studio. The money would take us a long way in festivals as well as the overall quality of the film.
