Graduation Pins In Honor of Matthew Saporito
Hi! I’m Nicole Suba, a senior at VHS, and I created this GoFundMe in loving memory of Matthew Saporito who was a part of the 2021 graduating class. I can speak for the entire class when I say that he has left a long lasting impact on all of our hearts and lives. Sadly, we lost our friend our junior year but to this day he still stays in our hearts. As a class, it is agreed that Matthew deserves to be remembered and represented at graduation and wearing a small pin on our gowns will allow him to be there with us on that special day.
“Matthew was the kid who loved everyone and was equally loved by everyone he met. He was the friend who stayed up all night on the phone with you because you were sad to be moving away the next day. He was the friend who sat with you in a quiet room at a party because you felt sick. He was the son who stayed with his Mom rather than join others to do a scary climb down to a waterfall (even though he wanted to do it and wasn’t scared a bit) because she was too scared. He was young man who worked at an Assisted Living Facility and the residents all adored him and raved about how kind and patient he was to them all. He loved Bugatti’s and Lamborghinis, cool shoes, Post Malone...he was our SuperMatt.”
Donations will cover the cost of the pins. Any extra funds will be donated to the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline.
Thank you
EDIT: Since the goal has been passed with the help of all of those that have donated (thank you so so so much!) this Gofundme will stay up as a fundraiser for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
