Graduation Fashion Design Fund - Oilily Verbeek

My name is Oilily Verbeek. I am fourth-year Fashion Design student from Amsterdam Fashion Institute (AMFI) graduating in the upcoming semester.  

After a 5 month placement at the internationally renowned couture house Viktor&Rolf I have gained experience and skills that will enable me to visualize and create a final collection I am proud of. 

Collaborating with other creative disciplines like specialist in 3D architectural moulds have expended my knowledge in different craftsmanship’s. 

I enjoy manipulating textiles, developing new embroidery and print techniques. Opposing surfaces and weights of fabric create exciting contradictions within silhouettes that narrate my ongoing concepts. 

Working within Haute Couture has been my dream since a very young age. To aid making my aspirations into a reality, I will create a collection that represents myself, my skills and what I have learned my past decade of training in the industry.
