Hallo zusammen,
mein Name ist Carla. Ich bin eine 22-jährige Modestudentin aus Deutschland. Im nächsten Jahr werde ich mein Studium mit meiner eigenen Modekollektion an der Modemacher-Schule in Münster abschließen. Im Januar 2021 wird sie in einer Modenschau vor über 2.000 Zuschauern präsentiert. Bis dahin wird es eine lange Reise sein, und ich brauche Eure finanzielle Unterstützung, um meine Traumkollektion zum Leben zu erwecken.
MINIMALISTISCHE COUTURE
Schon als Kind hatte ich eine Vorliebe für Mode und Design. Ich machte mein Abitur mit einem zusätzlichen Abschluss als Gestaltungstechnische Assistentin. Danach begann ich mein Studium an der Schule für Modemacher. Ich wollte von Anfang an eine Couture-Kollektion entwerfen. Meine größten Vorbilder sind Karl Lagerfeld und Maria Grazia Chiuri.
Letztes Jahr im November wurden meine Pläne leider durchkreuzt. Aufgrund einer Entzündung im Halswirbel wurden meine rechte Hand und mein rechter Arm taub. Für mich als Näherin, die mit ihren Händen arbeitet und Materialien fühlen muss, eine Katastrophe. Nach vielen Behandlungen und einer Reha sind jetzt nur noch zwei Finger taub. Also musste ich mir eine für mich realistische Idee für meine Kollektion überlegen, bei der meine Träume trotzdem nicht auf der Strecke bleiben. Meine Idee der Minimalistic Couture war geboren.
Minimalistische Couture vereint das Beste aus zwei Stilen: Minimalismus mit seinen schlichten Stoffen und geraden Silhouetten, ohne Falten und Rüschen. Und als auffälliger Kontrast dazu definiert sich Haute Couture durch außergewöhnliche Silhouetten, Stoffe, Stickereien und Glamour. Meine Idee: Ich werde eine minimalistische Kollektion schaffen, aber mit einem Hauch von Couture. Einfache, aber interessante Kleider, die man auf dem roten Teppich tragen kann, aber mit dem richtigen Maß an Stil und Zurückhaltung. Für die Basis und die Silhouetten nehme ich steifes und schweres, einfarbiges Neopren. Dazu werde ich Ärmel, Röcke und Jumpsuits aus besticktem Tüll kombinieren. Neopren hat eine Stabilität und Robustheit, die kaum ein anderer Stoff hat. Im Gegensatz dazu steht der Tüll, der leicht und fließend ist.
Und obwohl ich vielleicht 2017 an eine komplett andere Kollektion gedacht habe bin ich jetzt sehr zufrieden mit meiner Idee und aufgeregt sie umzusetzen.
22. JANUAR 2021 - DAS DATUM DER GROSSEN MODENSHOW (und mein 23. Geburtstag)
Ich werde in drei Monaten damit beginnen, meine Stoffe und Zutaten einzukaufen. Bis dahin werde ich meine Kollektion skizzieren, kreieren und entwerfen. Ich hoffe wirklich, dass ihr mir dabei helfen könnt! Damit alle immer wissen, was ich vorhabe, werde ich meinen Arbeitsfortschritt einmal im Monat hier zeigen und online stellen. Ich werde Fotos einstellen und Blogeinträge schreiben. Einen ungefähren Zeitplan habe ich bereits hier.

3.000 EURO FÜR MEINE MINIMALISTIC COUTURE KOLLEKTION
Das ist viel Geld für eine Studentin. Um meine erste Kollektion zu realisieren brauche ich ein gewisses Budget, um Stoff, Knöpfe, Garn und Reißverschlüsse zu kaufen. Außerdem brauche ich Geld für ein Fotostudio, um Aufnahmen mit meinen Modellen zu machen, und für den Make-up-Künstler, der mir am Abend der Modenshow helfen wird. Um völlig transparent zu sein, werde ich euch eine detaillierte Kostenaufstellung zeigen:
Neopren: 800 EUR
Couture: 1.200 EUR
Knöpfe, Garn und Reißverschlüsse: 300 EUR
Dreharbeiten: 200 EUR
Accessoires: 300 EUR
Haare und Make-up: 200 EUR
Um das zu finanzieren, brauche ich Eure Unterstützung. Als kleines Dankeschön werde ich euch im Januar nach der Modenschau ein digitales Lookbook schicken, damit Ihr sehen könnt, was ich geschaffen habe. Wer Zeit hat und am 22. MINIMALISTIC COUTURE
As a kid I already had a thing for fashion. At about twelve years old I started to sew my first projects and design my first clothes. I graduated from Highschool with an extra Diploma in Graphical Design and went straight to Fashion school afterwards. Since I began with the school in 2017 I wanted to create a couture collection. My biggest Idols are Karl Lagerfeld and Maria Grazia Chiuri.
Last year in November my plans were disrupted. Due to a spinal inflammation, my right hand and arm started got numb overnight. This was a disaster as I need to feel, sew and work with the different fabrics and materials to create my looks and designs. After a tough recovery and with two numb fingers I had to think of a more practical and realistic approach to my original vision to create my own haute couture collection. My idea of Minimalistic Couture was born:
Minimalistic Couture merges best of two styles: Minimalism with its plain fabrics and straight silhouettes, no wrinkles or frillies. Less is more. And as a conspicuous contrast Haute Couture defined by extraordinary silhouettes, cloth and embroideries. Combining these two styles together we will create something never seen before.
I will create a minimalistic collection but with touches of couture. Simple but interesting dresses to wear on the red carpet but with the right level of style and restraint. For the base and the silhouettes I will take stiff and heavy plain neoprene. In addition I will create sleeves, skirts and Jumpsuits out of embroidered tulle. My choice of using Neopren is based on its own way of falling. It has a stability and robustness nearly no other fabric has. In contrast to that stands the tulle which is light and flowing.
In the end I needed to decide for myself. Do I still want to do a Haute Couture Collection which is too complicated with numb fingers or a really simple collection just to get through the exam? And now I can say I did the best decision because now I know that I create the collection I always dreamed of despite of my fingers or my future plans.

I will start to buy my fabrics and ingredients in three month. Until then I will sketch, search and design my collection. I really hope that you can help me out! 3.000 EUR TO CREATE MY DREAM COLLECTION
A lot of money for a student. To design, create and build the first Minimalistic Couture collection I need a certain budget to buy fabric, buttons, yarn and zippers. Also I will need money for a photo studio to take pictures with my models and for the Make-Up artist who will help me on the evening of the show. To be fully transparent I will show you a detailed cost breakdown:
Neopren: 800 EUR
Couture: 1.200 EUR
Buttons, Yarn & Zippers: 300 EUR
Shooting: 200 EUR
Accessoires: 300 EUR
Hair and Make-Up: 200 EUR
To finance this project I need your support. It would mean the world to me if you could give whatever you can.
