Some of you may not know that Daniel's vehicle was broken into on Sunday night.
Daniel just graduated on Saturday from Oklahoma State, and also recently accepted a job in Napa, CA. When he got to Tulsa Saturday, everything (EVERYTHING) he owned was packed and ready to go in his car minus a backpack of clothes and toiletries.
Last night someone broke in and took everything from my driveway, not six feet from where we slept. We are incredibly shaken up, and of course he is most upset by the things money can't replace, such as photos, family mementos, souvenirs from his tours during his six years serving in the Air Force, Air Force coins, medals, certificates, sommelier certificates, pins, and wine keys, an entire childhood collection of baseball cards, and stereo equipment he was going to sell for the move.
But there are some things that CAN be replaced, for instance his entire wardrobe, including his everyday clothes, all of the dress clothes he's been acquiring for his job, as well as all of his shoes, boots, ties, belts, bow ties, and pants. He also lost his new MacBook Pro computer, case, and bag, and his firearm. $2000 doesn't even scratch the surface of what he lost, but I think it will be more than enough to get him dressed and back on his feet.
It's for some of these necessities I am seeking assistance. He did NOT give me the green light to go ahead with this, but I think we know enough kind and generous people to help us at least get him clothed for his move and his new job. Daniel of all people does not deserve this, and I wish I could replace all of it myself, because I would, but I can't.
Thank you for loving us, and taking the time to read and share this.
