Hello! My name is Summer, I am currently 20 years of age and just finished my six month Discipleship Training School (DTS) with YWAM Yosemite. We studied intensive lectures about who God is, how to hear His voice, what His heart is like, what fearing Him looks like and about the Holy Spirit. We had 3 months of studying in Yosemite and then our teams separated to go reach the unreached in Nepal and tell woman in the red light district of who Jesus is in Thailand.
I believe God is wanting to show me more of His vision through the bible of how He views His people. So I am going to a School of Biblical Studies (SBS) with YWAM Montana in the fall to study the bible intensively for 9 months. During these 9 months we get to read the bible about 5 times and go through the bible inductively and basically just rip it apart and understand every verse. After lectures for 9 months there is an outreach opportunity to a foreign country that involves handing out bibles and most importantly sharing with local pastors what it looks like to speak out the bible and how to study the bible more effectively. I have a huge passion to see pastors who just alone have faith in trust in God to really be open to seeing His word come alive in their faces and to have just an all consuming passion for who Jesus is and what He has done. This school roughly costs $8,000.
Before this school starts I will be going to Greece for a month with YWAM Yosemite in July to be apart of the refugees there. We are going there to share Jesus with those who do not know who He is. There is a great need of missionaries to go serve the refugees and get the name of Jesus out there. This will roughly cost $3,000.
I have seen through many people, experiences and ways that God does provide everything through willingness and faithfulness to do His work. I have no doubt that He will come in a provide just this small sum of money to go to places and people that dont know about Him or dont know about the bible.
I would like to ask for prayer first and foremost in all of these next big things God is leading me into. Prayer for a mind of studying the bible even more intensely. His word come alive. Seeing His vision in His people and different places throughout the world. Pray for the refugees in Greece and in other places around the world.
