Gracie's year in dance missions

Grace has graduated and is off on a mission from God...a dance mission. But I'll let her tell the story:

I know a lot of you have been wondering what has been going on in my life since I graduated, so here is what God has been and is still doing for me.  I have felt called to dance missions for a long time and have looked into companies that travel nationally as well as internationally sharing the Gospel through dance.  This year, however, my plan was to stay at home in a local company and look into options for next year.  Since I had no job and, therefore, no way of supporting myself I was sure that this was what I was supposed to do. 

            After a month I knew I was no longer supposed to be at the studio I was dancing with, so I left.  I had no idea what to do next; my plan for the whole year had fallen apart and nothing seemed to be opening up locally as far as dance or jobs. So I started to look into other states. I looked into going to Texas with a Christian company there and Texas flooded. I thought about going to Florida to start a dance ministry at a family friend’s church and a hurricane hit. Even before all this had happened Ms. Cynthia, Emily, and several others had mentioned looking into Arrows International. I had thought it would be impossible to move there so quickly with no money and no job prospects, but Friday, September 8th I left a message asking if they were still even accepting people into their company. I did not hear back until the following Monday. Between Friday and Monday five different people came to me with encouraging words from God that seemed to point towards moving to Oklahoma and joining Arrows. Monday I received a call from the artistic director asking me to send in my resume believing that God would provide the money I needed if I were called to go.  I completed my resume Wednesday the 13th of September trusting that if I was supposed to go, God would continue to open the door. The next morning, September 14th, I got an email from the directors saying that I had been accepted into their program as a trainee! They went on to say that they wanted me in Oklahoma by Monday, September 25th.

            There are too many details to be able to tell all of what God is doing and (I trust) will continue to do. I am leaving for Oklahoma Friday, the 22nd of September to follow God’s call. I do not have all the funds I need, but I trust that since He has called me He will also provide. If you feel led to help by supporting me monetarily, please (something about a link, maybe?) but even if you don’t give, please join me in praying that God’s will would be done and that I would be able to continue to follow wherever He leads.

Just one closing note from her Dad: part of the funds is to help her with the sudden move and to get on her feet and part is for missions trips with the company. Amazingly, Grace has had a burden and a desire to go to Indai in ministry for several years. In January she will be going with the company on a ministry trip to January.

We need some funds to help her get off next week and some down the road for ministry trips. Contributions toward the ministry trips (but only those towards ministry trips) can be given in a way that is tax deductible. We could use about $500-$1000 by the time she leaves next Friday, September 22. The rest of the funds are to help through the next eight months of training, living, and ministry expenses.
