August of 2014 our sweet little Gracie Palmer, 9 starting having partial seizures in which medication typically would control. In November 2014 she had her first stay in SLC primary children where they started the first of many tests and procedures. Over the past year Gracie has endured so much but still no solid answers. The Primary children neuro team has proposed a 2 part invasive brain surgery in hopes to focalize where the seizures are starting. She is going to Primary Children's on Aug. 18th to have the surgerys she will be in the hospital for at least 10 days with electrodes on her brain lobe. The second surgery the electrodes will come out and hopefully the lesion that is causing her to have seizures. This year has been a struggle for the family both emotionally as well as financially due to extensive medical cost and travel. Gracies family will be in SLC for several weeks and this is going to be an extra expense. We want them to focus on the surgerys and not the financial burden. We are hopeful the surgery will be a success and Gracie will be back to herself doing what she loves; biking, swimming, cheer and not having to deal with the stress of seizures. So let's try to help out this sweet little girl and her family, Thank you!
