Grace's Spain Mission Trip/Internship

This summer, I will be doing my Public Health internship in Malaga, Spain for eight weeks. Liberty has partnered with an organization called Christar. Christar seeks to bring the Gospel to unreached areas around the world. They do so by using their God-given skills to serve people in different ways, whether it is through education, medicine and health care, business, or social services. I will get to honor God with the skills He has given me by serving refugees in Malaga. Many of these refugees are fleeing from Morocco because of corruption and violence. Malaga receives over 100 refugees a day, therefore there is a great need for people who are willing to serve. Using the knowledge I have gained in my health promotion classes this semester, I will be assessing the people’s health needs and implementing an educational health program. After I conduct the assessment, whatever need is most prominent is what the program will focus on. I believe that meeting people’s health needs and serving them with a joyful spirit is the perfect avenue into sharing the Gospel. I leave May 29th and return July 27th, and I will need to raise the money by the time I leave.
