This past semester, the Lord in His kindness has been helping me learn what it truly means to step out in faith. In Numbers 13 and 14, we read of the contrast between Moses, Caleb, and Joshua’s response to the Promised Land they had scouted versus the response of the other spies. One group cowered at the unknown while the other desired to walk in obedience, trusting that the Lord would provide where He had led them. A few months ago, when I was being led through a study on this passage in my church’s women’s study, I so clearly felt the Lord impressing upon my heart to give Him my “yes” in a decision I had been praying about and to let Him work out the rest.
That decision was to be a part of Liberty University Department of Theatre Arts’ Mission Trip to the United Kingdom. This March, I have the opportunity to join a team to partner with a ministry called Infinite Arts through Betel U.K. Betel exists to be the hand of Christ to individuals who are in the process of recovering from drug and alcohol addiction. The work we will be doing is both relational ministry and arts ministry. For one week, we will be serving and doing life with those going through the program at Betel. A unique part of this trip is we will also be performing dance and vocal pieces that incorporate the message of Jesus, as well as involving those in the program to learn dance as well. It is a privilege to get an opportunity to use something the Lord has allowed us to have such joy in to share Him with others.
I am hoping to raise $2,000 for my trip.
Your support would mean more than you know. Whether it be through prayer or monetary donation, I am so thankful. Here are some things you could be praying for:
- That the gospel would not fall on deaf ears: The Lord is the one that changes hearts, and we are privileged to be welcomed into the process of sharing Him with others. Please pray that He is already preparing meaningful interactions and conversations that will be glorifying to Him.
- Safety: We have full trust in the sovereignty and protection of God and would be so appreciative if you would pray that we would be kept safe as we travel and do ministry in the U.K.
- Wisdom and Discernment: That the Holy Spirit will be active to convict, encourage, and direct us throughout our time there. That He will call to mind specific passages and verses in His word for us to use in our ministry.
Please feel free to email or text me if you have any questions about our trip or if you would like to be included in my trip update emails!
Thank you for your support!
