As some of you may know, in May of 2024 I had gone into the emergency room for what I had thought was appendicitis. CT Scans showed that I had a mass in my spine, and had ordered an MRI. The MRI had confirmed that said mass was a Schwannoma Tumor, a slow growing tumor, that has been growing around my L1 nerve and into my spine between my L1 and L2 vertebrae, and is the size of my kidney.

The tumor has been causing me pain in primarily my hips, lower back, and legs, for what my doctors think has been years, as the L1 nerve controls the other nerves in those areas.

On August 16th, I will be having Laminectomy Lumbar spine surgery for the removal of my tumor and part of one of my vertebrae. I will be in hospital for at least two nights, and will not be able to work (or do anything) for at least six weeks following the surgery.
