Grace's Bat Mitzvah Project

For my Bat Mitzvah project I want to help kids that are not as fortunate as I am. I play soccer almost every day and love it. I am lucky to play for a competitive travel team and my school team that always has balls, cones, pinnies, fields, goals, etc. A lot of kids don’t get to do that. My school has a gym full of more supplies than I can count. Our school has enough money to provide all these things, but you wouldn’t believe how many schools can’t do that. My parents and I reached out to a school in North Philadelphia called General George Meade School, grades K-8. We learned from talking with the counselor that they don’t have any basketball hoops, basketballs, or even basic gym supplies. Therefore, I have decided to raise money using a GoFundMe which we will use to purchase as many supplies as we can including portable basketball hoops to be used for their afterschool team and supplies for gym class.
