Safe Spaces for Dogs
Donation protected
Hi I’m Grace, and I’m asking on behalf of my neighbors for some much needed support. For the past two years, I’ve witnessed a family of dogs that are sadly restrained to tiny kennels for up to 24 hours per day. They receive the basic necessities, but are given no opportunity to walk on soft grass, nonetheless run and play.
Although their owners do their best, they do not have the financial means to provide the necessary kennels for these animals, as they themselves are on the brink of homelessness.
The owners of these dogs lit up with joy when approached about getting some larger and more suitable kennels, completely free of cost. The goal is not to separate these dogs from their owners, but instead help to keep them together in a safe and comfortable environment.
Our humane society (our only form of animal control) is over capacity with hundreds of dogs, and is always on the edge of losing its no-kill status. They have no room to house these dogs.
Please help to purchase 3 large kennels, where these dogs can have access to water, a bed, and even have space to walk around. Every bit counts!
Out of respect and privacy for our neighbors: the above photo is not an actual photo taken, but instead represents exact circumstances.
