Hi, my name is Liz Cox, I am raising funds to save my granddaughters life. GraceLynn was born on December 8, 2021. On that day our lives would be forever changed. GraceLynn was born with fluid in her lungs and had an abnormal lump on her cheek, immediately she was taken to NICU. Shortly after being in NICU, while being evaluated our little Gracie, as I like to call her, had a seizure. She under went a series of tests, CT-Scan, MRI, etc. and discovered she had a rare condition in her brain called Hemimegalencephaly.
Hemimegalencephaly, is a condition in which one side of the brain is abnormally more developed/larger than the other side. This is turn causes seizures. Unfortunately, epilepsy medications do not respond to the seizures and her only chance at having the seizures reduced is by having surgery on her brain. We did some research and found another child with the same condition that had a procedure done and has had success. We have reached out to her team of experts and they are willing to take on Gracie's case. Unfortunately, this group of medical professionals are in Washington D.C. at Children's National Hospital, where Gracie will have to be transported and cared for. As you can imagine the costs for all this to be possible will be astronomical, therefore we are asking for your help to make this happen and give our little Gracie a chance at a better life. We are praying for GraceLynn and have placed her in God's hands and believe that the Lord will grant us the miracle of healing our baby girl.
No donation is too big or too small, anything will help and will be greatly appreciated. Below are a couple of links with some information on her condition if you'd like to read further.
Thank you for your help and God Bless You!
