✨ Help Baby Eila Fight for Her Second Chance at Life — Grace Through Eila

“The Lord sustains them on their sickbed and restores them from their bed of illness.” — Psalm 41:3

I’m starting this GoFundMe on behalf of my best friends, Daly and Zab, and their two beautiful babies, Eila and Zylo. Their baby girl, Eila, has been fighting for her life since the day she was born.

When Eila entered the world in March, her parents received devastating news — she was diagnosed with biliary atresia, a rare and fatal liver disease if left untreated. At just a few weeks old, she underwent a five-hour life-saving surgery called the Kasai in April 2025.

Everyone prayed it would allow her to keep her native liver and live a long, healthy life.

Since then, Eila has endured 10+ ultrasounds, a HIDA scan, a liver biopsy and cholangiogram, hospital stays, a kidney ultrasound, a 5-hour life-saving surgery (the Kasai procedure), a paracentesis surgery, an echocardiogram, an EKG, countless weight checks, numerous specialty visits to Cincinnati, endless blood draws, and far too much time away from her big brother.

She’s fought through two rounds of ascites fluid buildup and now battles portal hypertension with an enlarged spleen. Despite everything, Eila continues to smile and shine with a strength far beyond her tiny body.

Recently, her parents received the heartbreaking news that Eila is now in the early stages of liver failure and will soon need another life-saving surgery — a liver transplant.

The family has been traveling frequently to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, which is nearly two hours from their home, for Eila’s care. The emotional, physical, and financial toll has been unimaginable. Daly had to quit her job to care for Eila full-time, while Zab continues to work as the sole provider.

Through all of this, they’re also raising their sweet two-year-old son, Zylo, who adores his little sister and needs his parents just as much. Daly and Zab are trying to be present for both of their children, but the weight of medical bills, travel costs, and daily living expenses has become overwhelming.

So many friends and family have asked how they can help, and while Daly and Zab have been hesitant to ask for anything at all, it’s clear that now is the time for us to rally around them.

Every donation will go directly toward Eila’s medical and transplant expenses, travel to and from the hospital, and the family’s daily living needs as they navigate this difficult road. More than anything, they’re asking for continued prayers and faith as they trust God to heal and restore their little girl.

We believe in a God who heals. We believe Eila’s story isn’t over — it’s just beginning.

With love and gratitude,
Caylee (also known as Aunt Best) — on behalf of Daly, Zab, Eila, and Zylo
