Hi, we are Grace, Ollie and Thomas, Hertfordshire Scouts who have been lucky enough to be selected to participate in an international expedition in August 2027 to the Azores.

The expedition provides us with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to explore the local environment, native habitats, species and customs, putting the skills we have learnt during our time as Scouts to good use. We'll also have the opportunity to take part in some hiking, canoeing, kayaking and canyoning.

To kick off our fundraising, we set ourselves the challenge to walk the equivalent distance from the centre of our village (Welwyn) to the capital of the Azores, Ponta Delgada and back - a distance of 5,058km by the 31st March 2026. We smashed it 16 days ahead of the deadline

We have more fundraising activities planned but in the meantime would be super grateful for any donation, however big or small, to support our fundraising effort and to help us reach our target. Your support is much appreciated.
