Grace Mooney Memorial Service Fund

Grace Mooney will be having a memorial service held at the Sands Funeral Chapel, 1803 Quadra Street in Victoria, BC, on Tuesday February 25th, 2025. The ceremony will be held from 5pm-6pm followed by a 6pm-8pm reception. The intention of this service is to celebrate Graces life. The service will be open to the public. This fund will be to cover the costs of the celebration.

It is well known fact that Grace Mooney was able to touch so many peoples lives both in and out of Victoria over the 26 years of her life. After moving to Victoria in 2017 she slowly but surely carved a path out amongst so many local communities. She was an integral part of the art community, attending all sorts of events from music shows, art shows, fashion fundraisers, being a voice to all of the things that she believed in. She really valued other peoples expressions, and learning from other people in a way that she felt would better the world. She was also proudly outspoken and had very knowledgeable outlooks and perspective that she would offer up. Her close friends and family recognize the impact that her death has had on an entire community and look forward to welcoming you all to celebrate her beautiful life.

Grace was an incredibly loved daughter, sister, granddaughter, cousin, niece and best friend. Thank you to every single one of the people who came into Graces life and were able to share that love. With this celebration we will all be able to spend time within the love that she both received and gave, unconditionally.

During the ceremony there will be messages and poems read by close friends and family, as well as a slideshow of blissful memories from her life. We encourage people to dress in light angelic colors as this is a celebration. The reception will be a moment for all of her people to mingle, share memories, and have some snacks. We can already feel such a powerful loving energy from everyone who will be in attendance.
