Our sister Lindsey and her fiance Ryan surprised us with amazing news late last fall.... they were expecting TWINS! Both families couldn't be more excited and plans for an exciting summer began. Lindsey's due date was in late June.
On Wednesday, February 17th, her water broke on Baby A, but did not go into active labor. The plan was to admit her to Abbott Mother Baby Center on March 1st to stay until the babies would be born. We had the hope that she would be there for a very long time.
But... on Wednesday, February 24th at 3:09am, Ryan and Lindsey welcomed their 1st daughter, Grace Ann Dunbar to the world. Born at 22 weeks and 3 days weighing a mere 12oz. They were hoping there was a small chance they could leave Baby B to continue to grow, since her sac was still intact and Lindsey was not in active labor. Well again God had a different plan, Lindsey had developed an infection and she needed to delivery Baby B to protect them both. Eight hours later, at 11:04am Baby B, Isla Mae Dunbar joined us. She weighed 14oz.
Thank you for all of your prayers and well wishes. They have a long rollercoaster ahead but with your love, support, and prayers, will get through with God's grace.
Your donation will help in all areas of need that develop during a long term NICU stay.
