Grace House: Giving kids a chance for a better life

Grace House school is an NGO situated in Korkranh village in Siem Reap, Cambodia. It is a school made of open huts that operates purely on donations. They make it possible for children to get an education who otherwise would not get one. The children are selected from three villages based on their needs and poverty level. They also have a special needs program. Among other things, they help provide rice to people in the village that have no food. The funds will be used for school supplies, food, books, and fixing up classrooms so that when it rains, water won’t come in.

I really can’t describe all the things they need. This will be my 9th trip over there to volunteer teach. It is the first charity I have ever funded where I’ve actually gotten to see the money I’ve raised at work.

To keep you up-to-date, the walkways and office no longer flood thanks to newly raised floors, and we were able to build a fence around the school with a security gate. Where the kids play also now has a permanent roofed structure over it to block the rain and sun. Last year we were even able to take them on a field trip, an experience they won’t ever forget.

Grace House has a special place in my heart, and it would mean a great deal to me if you would support it. Please submit donations by June 4th.
