Grace for Annabelle

Annabelle Bernatette Backstrom was born January 29, 2018 with a diaphragmatic hernia. This diagnosis was found at her 20 week ultrasound so a team of medical staff was prepared to care for Annabelle immediately following her birth. She had surgery at just 4 days to correct the defect and her journey was well on its way. Annabelle recovered beautifully from her surgery, but ran into many different complications when it came time for her to start eating. After 3 months in the NICU it was decided Annabelle would be stable enough to go home with tube feedings. During the procedure to place the tube in her intestine, her bowel was perforated. Annabelle is now fighting for her life. This page is created to help her family with the many extra costs they are facing during this journey. While the purpose of this page is donations, her family accepts with much gratitude any and all prayers that their sweet Annabelle would be healed.
