Grace Episcopal Day School Playground

Since 1955, Grace Episcopal Church Day School has operated as a ministry of historic Grace Episcopal Church, Yorktown, Virginia.  Last year, we became aware of the need to replace our entire playground due to unsafe conditions.  The cost of replacement – in the neighborhood of $100,000 – was far beyond the current budget.  We have been very busy making requests of community civic organizations, corporations and businesses, as well as residents. While the community has been gracious in their donations, we are still $10,000 short of our goal. We are looking forward to the day that this space will be home to laughter and play, not only for children enrolled in the Day School, but also to the children who live in the Yorktown Village, and children who visit Yorktown with their families.
