Hi my name is Steve
I am looking for support to help with my daughter Grace , she has rapidly progressed into a top basketball talent.
She started playing only 3 years ago and due to her natural talent and a lot of very hard work she has reached high levels of the game at still only 13.
First playing at Scarborough Seahawks U12s boys team , she soon progressed to York Eagles Girls U14s. After one very successful season with them she then moved to Sheffield Hatters. This led to Grace not only playing for the U14s , but also gaining a regular place in the U16s team.
She was now starting to make a name for herself around the country with a lot of the coaches. This led to her representing the northern aspire team in a tournament against London, Central and South at Manchester National Performance Centre at U14s level.
After a very successful season she was then invited to the Basketball England U14s training camp, when after 4 sessions with 23 of the country’s brightest young basketball talent from around the country , she was selected in the final squad of 12 to represent England U14s girls at a training camp in Greece.
Playing against 3 local U17s teams alongside training everyday.
This was in preparation for the home nations invitational in Scotland, this proved to be a very successful weekend for the girls, going on to win the tournament beating Ireland in the Final. Personally for Grace it was overwhelming, making the All Star 5 team of the tournament.
But to cap it off also receiving the MVP of the event. The conversation now with coaches and people who have been involved with basketball for a number of years , are that Grace is possibly one of the brightest talents and her age group currently in the UK.
With this costs are increasing monthly, with our family being based and living in Scarborough we really don’t want financial implications holding Graces talent from reaching the highest of levels.
To be a professional basketball player is now firmly set in her sights, she is so determined and dedicated, we are incredibly proud of her progress ❤️
If you can help support Grace in anyway we would be so grateful for your help.
