Grabouskas Family Medical Recovery

Hi My name is Emily Grabouskas. 2021 was rough for me and a lot of other people. Making a GoFundMe for myself and my family isn’t something I’d normally do. I’d like to say I’m usually the one making it for other people. So I’m hoping maybe some of my friends or family could help. If you can’t we understand and just ask for prayers.

In August 2021 I was going to start what I thought was a job of a life time and 2 days before starting it I ended up in the hospital with and umbilical hernia that was causing a lot of health issues. I had the surgery and recovery was 7 weeks. At the beginning of the November our son David fell sick with RSV and was seen in the ER. 2 short week later ( Right after I started a job) I was seen in the ER with a high temp of 104.3.. I came up positive for RSV and COVID. Our family had to quarantine. A week later I ended up back in the hospital and was confirmed to have RSV,COVID and Pneumonia and was admitted. My husband ( who was at home with both kids and had COVID himself ) was told I had a 50/50 chance of living and was later told it wouldn’t be long before I’d pass a day or so. I beat the odds. I spent 9 days admitted after being in the ER a full day. My family and friends are my rock and have really helped me get to where I am.

My husband started work a week and half before Christmas and his work shut down the 23rd for the holidays and will return January 3rd. I am down on recovery so I can build up my lungs and now having Gallbladder problems. Our biggest concern is finances. We have many bills coming in from my hernia surgery and have this month bills with little money. Our family is kind of embarrassed to have to do this but we hope our friends and family understand.
