Shadd Dylan was in a tragic motorcycle accident on 10/31/20 at 2am. At the scene of the accident he was unresponsive. He was rushed to Sarasota Memorial Hospital. He showed no response in his pupils or gag reflexes, he was slightly breathing on his own with the help of a ventilator. He suffered severe head trauma including multiple bleeds on both sides of his brain, a significant fracture at the base of his skull. Due to bleeding on both sides of his brain they were unable to remove part of his skull, they inserted a catheter to monitor the pressure on his brain until the chance of having surgery. He was put into a Paralytic induced coma and heavy medications to try to bring down the swelling of his brain for it to heal itself. On 11/1 at around 1pm he under went surgery to remove a large portion of the right side of his skull to relieve the pressure with the anticipation of replacing the skull in 6-12 weeks. This is still a VERY critical situation and a day by day waiting process.  Unfortunately the family does not have health insurance and will not have Shadd’s income during this time. This GoFundMe is for medical expenses and the loss of income, and to help take the financial burden off of his wife Hallie and 3 small children. This is going to be a long road to recovery anything and everything is greatly appreciated!
