As many of you know, Hurricane Melissa has caused devastating damage across Jamaica, deeply affecting countless families.

Wallesha Allen is leading a donation drive to help provide much-needed relief and supplies to those impacted. We are grateful for the opportunity to come together and make a meaningful difference during this difficult time.

I am Wallesha Allen, Sr. Sales Manager at the Portland Regency Hotel & Spa. I'm from Ocho Rios, Jamaica, but currently living in Portland, Maine. I'm raising funds to help colleagues, neighbors, family, and affected parishes in Jamaica.

Funds will be spent by purchasing the following items:

• Tissues, wipes, cleaning products, diapers

• Clothing, mattresses, bed linens, bath towels

• Toiletries, over-the-counter medications, first aid or hygiene kits

• Kitchen utensils (including pots, pans, non-plastic disposables)

• Garbage bags, plywood, zinc, tarpaulins

• Baby items, tents, sleeping bags, bed cots, flashlights

• Tool kits, drills, generators (household use only, ≤5000 watts)

• Bottled water, non-perishable food, fuel containers

• Buckets, pans, mops, brooms, rain gear, gloves, insect repellent

• Water purification kits, portable stoves, lanterns, battery packs

• Basic school supplies, sanitizers, disposable masks, radios

• Any other livable or practical household items that can support a family
