Jean Welch-Wilson funeral and burial expenses

My name is Mark Schlicher, and I am Jean Welch-Wilson's brother-in-law. I'm raising funds on behalf of Jean's immediate family, to help cover final expenses. Jean passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 4, 2023, after a long and consequential life. She was bright, creative, funny, and committed to service to others. She loved, and was loved by, her family and countless friends in Nashville, Tennessee, and throughout the country.

Even as they process their profound loss, Jean's only sister Jackie (my wife), and her daughter Natalie, have taken on the enormous task of organizing her funeral service, to be held this Saturday, February 11, at Fisk Memorial Chapel in Nashville. Jean gave herself freely to others, and she left this earthly plane with few tangible assets. Many friends have stepped forward to assist, and others have asked, "how can I help?"

The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, you consider a donation to help defray the substantial costs of the funeral and burial. All funds will go directly to the family's account to pay toward the funeral & related costs, any outstanding medical bills, and other final expenses. Any funds received in excess of expenses will be donated to W. O. Smith Music School.
