Cody is my stepson. He is a 33-year-old special needs adult who has been on many medications since birth. Cody was born with a hole in his heart that was not found immediately at birth. It wasn't until a couple of weeks after he was brought home when Cody started to turn blue and was rushed back to the hospital that his hole was found. The lack of oxygen to his brain during that time left Cody permanently intellectually disabled. The many medications he has been taking since then for his heart, seizures, and other health issues have taken their toll on his teeth. Unfortunately, there was no way to avoid the damage done by the medications. Cody has only 4 teeth left on the top, and one of those is broken. We have sought out the advice of many dentists, and it has come down to this: Cody needs the remaining teeth pulled and four implants for a full upper denture. You can see by the estimate in photos that there is extensive work to be done. Not to mention trying to save what we can on the bottom.
