Help Riley Recover

Hi, my name is Donna (Aunty Donna) and I am wanting to help my nephew Riley and his Mum, my sister Christina while Riley recovers from a horrible accident in the bull riding arena.

On Friday 11th February Riley’s thumb was amputated after being kicked by a bull while getting himself out of harms way.

He and his mum were rushed to Townsville hospital and immediately flown to Brisbane to the Queensland Childrens Hospital where he underwent a gruelling 9.5hr surgery to reattach his thumb.

Since then Riley has undergone a further 2 surgeries and at the time of writing we are still not sure if it will be viable.

Riley’s mum, Christina has barely left his bedside.

It is a difficult time for them with a very long road to full recovery. How long is still unknown.

With all of this unfortunately the bills don’t stop and being away from home doesn’t come for free.

My sister would never ask for help, especially of this kind but whatever can be done to relieve some pressure and just allow her to be by Riley’s side for as long as it takes is what is important.

Please help me help this brave, genuine, caring, amazing, sweet young man and his strong as hell mum.
