Garrett Houston passed away March, 4, 2016 at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. He was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia in April 2015. After an unimaginable battle of nearly 11 months, Garrett succumbed to this horrible disease we know as cancer. He made decisions that no child his age should ever have to make to stay with his earthly family. He lost his battle at the young age of 15 and was a freshman at South Webster High School. He loved to hunt, fish, and ride 4-wheelers. He played baseball and soccer along with being an avid Ohio State Buckeyes and Cincinnati Reds fan. In addition, Garrett loved showing his lambs during 4-H week at the Scioto County Fair.
Garrett leaves behind his parents; Shawn and Monica Houston and Shawna Ruth. Garrett was a beloved big brother to Leighvi, Rylee, and Bennett. Grandparents; Les and Sandra Houston, Craig and Donna Ruth, Jeanne Ruth, and Maggie Wright. He was preceded in death by his older brother Wyatt Shawn Houston. Your generous contributions will assist Garrett’s dad in paying for burial expenses of this precious angel. An expense that no parent should ever have to face.
He may be gone, but he will never be forgotten.
Matthew 5:4 “Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.”
