Cindy’s Battle with ALS

Around a year ago, my mom, Cindy Cagle, started having difficulty walking. As the weeks and months passed, we noticed that her ability to walk was not only not getting better — it was slowly getting worse. Knowing something had to be going on, we started seeking answers.

After seeing doctors in both Jackson and Memphis, we were finally sent to Vanderbilt in September. And then on November 9th, my mom was diagnosed with ALS and given a life expectancy of two-five years.

In just this short time, bills have started to accumulate. My mom already owes $600 for ONE of her (three) Vanderbilt office visits in September, and that’s just the beginning. Between ongoing Vanderbilt visits (she’ll more than likely be going every other week for a while), treatments that cost at least $270 after insurance has paid only half, and traveling expenses, costs are starting to pile up.

We appreciate any love and support you can send our way. It is an overwhelming time for us. And more than anything, we appreciate your prayers — they mean the world to us. Thank you!
