Molly's surgery
Donation protected
A few weeks ago we noticed that Molly's mouth was red and a bit swollen so we took her to the vet where she was diagnosed with mouth cancer and we were told that there wasn't much that could be done.
We were expecting to spend many more years with her and this news was heartbreaking but our main concern was to make sure she didn't suffer.
The following couple weeks went quite well, she was eating and running on her wheel as usual, but about 10 days ago the situation started getting worse, her mouth became even more swollen and her discomfort was visible so we tried different things to help her like feeding her only soft food and disinfecting her mouth, but during the weekend we saw that also her right eye was swollen and bulging.
We thought her time had come and so yesterday we decided to bring her to a specialised clinic for advice on how to gracefully accompany her to hedgie heaven.
Instead, to our surprise, we were told she might not have cancer, but that the sores in her mouth might be abscesses that can be taken care of with surgery.
We were incredibly happy and hopeful to hear this!!!
We left her at the clinic where she's being treated but as many of you probably know, the veterinary medical expenses are very high and since we're currently going through the process of moving, our finances are low and budgeted. We're reaching out to ask for support because all the help we can get is greatly appreciated, either with a donation if you can or by sharing this request.
Molly's a brave fighter and we're really hoping she can recover and be healthy again. Having her as our pet has been a real learning experience and we would love to spend more time with her.
We thank you all very much! ❤️
