Hello, my name is Antonia Voliton and I am raising funds for Empress Voliton.
“Growth dies in your comfort zone” that’s a quote from one of Empress’s Sports Coach, that resonates with her.
I would like to take the opportunity to introduce you to my daughter, Empress Voliton. Empress is a phenomenal young lady and is currently a Junior at Harding University High School in Charlotte, NC. She is an active student-athlete participating on both the Varsity Track and Field and Varsity Women’s Volleyball teams and has held a GPA of 3.0 plus since the 9th grade. In addition to her scholarly and athletic achievements, Empress works part-time at McDonald’s on the weekends to save for college expenses. Empress also helps around the house, is obedient to my directives and does a mean diversion in teen language when her younger sister is not following my directives. She is a terrific role model using her talents as a junior usher at our church and will serve pregnant moms at a summer camp in the mountains. Empress is also a natural peacemaker - defending her classmates and teammates when she sees any injustice or bullying occurring whether in class or on the field. Sometimes I have to ask her to stay out of the situation. As I said, she is phenomenal, and I am so very proud to call her my daughter.
Due to her high academic standing throughout high school, Empress was selected to attend Envision’s Intensive Law & Trial program this summer, at Stanford Law School in California. Attending this program will expose Empress to various aspects of the legal field. This is a great opportunity for Empress as she has expressed an interest in law and will help her decide if she would ultimately like to pursue a law degree. Another benefit of attending the Intensive Law & Trial program is the opportunity to gain firsthand experience living in a dorm – an element of college life that Empress is especially looking forward to.
I would very much love for Empress to participate in the program but as a divorced parent of two teenagers, the cost is not within our family’s budget. While I have applied for a scholarship to offset the expenses (still awaiting a response) we will need an additional $3000 to accommodate this $4395 expense. Your financial assistance will help with travel, room and board, food, and clothing costs.
Thank you in advance for your contribution, as they say every little bit helps.
Sincerely,
Antonia Voliton (proud mom of Empress Voliton)
