Ava is more than just my best friend: she is one of the strongest, kindest, and most determined people I know.

At just 17 years old, in what should be her final year of school filled with excitement and milestones, Ava is instead facing one of the toughest battles imaginable: treatment for Hodgkin’s lymphoma.

Despite everything she’s going through, she continues to show up with courage, resilience, and a quiet strength that inspires everyone around her.

Because of her treatment, Ava is unable to work and currently has no source of income, which makes it incredibly difficult to keep up with everyday expenses — especially as she approaches some major life moments.

In June, she turns 18, a milestone that should be celebrated fully. She is also preparing to finish school, graduate, and attend her formal in November — moments she truly deserves to enjoy after everything she has endured.
