Support Ron's Battle Against Cancer
Donation protected
Hi Friends & Family, right after Fourth of July we found out that Ron had cancer [Diffuse Large B-cell or DLBCL a type of Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma]. He had been cancer free for the last 14 years, and the doctors have told us it is rare for it to come back again after such a long break. They are hopeful that he will respond very well to treatment.
Ron is now treating at City of Hope Hospital in Duarte, CA, and is expected to have two or three cycles of chemotherapy called RICE. The chemotherapy requires Ron to be in-patient at the City of Hope Hospital for at least 4 days for each cycle. We are hoping after cycle two or three that he is found to be in remission. If so, he will undergo a stem cell transplant of his own stem cells in hopes of wiping the cancer completely out. If not, he will undergo another therapy called CAR T-cell Therapy. Both are intense and will require three weeks or a month of in-patient chemotherapy and treatment. Both therapies will also require staying at the hospital's out-patient facilities [which are not covered by his insurance].
We could use your help to pay Ron’s rent for his Barbershop - the Nice Barbers - at the Salon Republic – as he has hopes of returning to work as soon as he is able. We are hoping in 6 months' time he can return to work. Any donations will first go to meet his rent obligations, and next for any of the outpatient stays and transportation costs associated with his chemotherapy.
You can also make donation directly for Ron’s rent. If you wish to make a payment directly to Salon Republic on Ron’s behalf, please talk with his shop partner Kyle or his wife Amy. Please message either of us, and we will tell you the procedure.
While Ron fights, he would love to hear from you via text, email, or Facebook [If you don't have his contact information please message us on here and we will get it to you]. He would so appreciate any encouraging words, funny jokes, and just life updates from you.
Please also feel free to share our Go Fund Me, as we can use all the help we can at this trying time.
