Request for Community Assistance: Transportation and Financial Aid

My name is Jerica, and I am reaching out for assistance following a series of significant setbacks that have severely impacted my ability to provide for my family.

Timeline of Events

* February: While commuting to work, my vehicle was totaled in a hit-and-run accident near Fond du Lac and Townsend. I subsequently lost my job due to transportation-related tardiness.

* March - May: After finding new employment, I was forced to rely on expensive Uber and Lyft services for my work commute and for taking my son to school and doctor's appointments, quickly depleting my limited savings.

* May: I invested my entire tax return ($5,000) to purchase a replacement vehicle. Unfortunately, the seller conducted a fraudulent sale. The truck had critical, persistent engine issues, costing me further money in repair attempts.

* Recent Setback: The replacement vehicle was stolen from my driveway at 5:45 AM.

Current Need

I have exhausted all my resources and am now without a vehicle or the funds to purchase one. I cannot sustain the cost of daily rideshares and simultaneously pay rent and bills.

I am requesting help—whether it is financial donations, resources for car assistance, or advice—to secure reliable transportation.
