Our dear friends Lou and Heide are doing their very best to handle some unplanned medical expenses related to their sweet baby boy. He was born via emergency c-section and was hospitalized at 10 days old due to a brain bleed. It was discovered that he had a huge aneurism which had to be coiled as well as a clotting disorder. He has had to have 4 brain surgeries including having a shunt placed, and between all the procedures has spent nearly 6 weeks in the hospital, the majority of which has been in the pediatric intensive care unit. He has damage to the left side of his brain which affects the right side of his body.  He continues to have ongoing ocupational and physical therapy. Between both past as well as ongoing expenses related to his care, medical bills continue to accumulate. I know many people who have expressed a desire to help Lou and Heide, and this is one opportunity for you to do so. They have not asked for this (and I may get some flack for doing this) but I know anything you can do would be of great help to them. Please consider doing what you can for one of the greatest families we are blessed to have a part of our lives.
