I have organized this go fund me to help raise funds for my friends Ashley’s dog, Zoey. Zoey is an 8 year old Frenchton who unfortunately was diagnosed recently with IVDD (intervertebral disc disease) which is a degenerative spinal disease that will ultimately leave Zoey paralyzed without treatment.

Zoey first started having issues 2 weeks ago. Despite Ashley’s best efforts to do everything she can to help Zoey aside from Surgery, Zoeys condition is rapidly deteriorating. The pain meds and anti inflammatory have little effect on Zoeys suffering. She’s crying, panting, and having difficulty walking. She’s on crate rest and is carried outside for short potty breaks. Watching her suffer in pain has been one of the hardest thing Ashley has ever had to bear witness to. The Veterinarian and Neurologist said Zoey needs surgery ASAP. The sooner she has the surgery the better her chances are of recovery.

The surgery will cost between $10,000-15,000, in addition to medication and other rehab she may need. The surgery will greatly reduce and relieve pain Zoey is experiencing as well as greatly reduce the chances of her becoming paralyzed in the future.

Ashley is a generous and caring person with her time and the resources she does have. Ashley volunteers her time for various organizations. She always shows up for others in anyway she can. The vet bills getting to this point have been very costly. I wish I alone could help more because It isn’t often that Ashley needs to ask others for help so I hope that we can rally together and show up for Ashley in the way she shows up for others! Please help her get Zoey the care she deserves.

Ashley and Zoey have been through a lot together. Zoey has been an emotional support for Ashley through a lot of challenging times. Zoey has been a great emotional support for myself and my mom after my dads passing. With our help Zoey can continue to be by Ashley’s side for years to come.
