From Ahmad: "My name is Ahmad and I'm raising funds to continue my education after the political upheaval in Afghanistan.

 

My mom is a teacher and my father is paralyzed, leaving my mom as the only bread owner of the house. Unfortunately, during the political upheaval, teachers' salaries are all frozen. Under such circumstances, finding a morsel of food is difficult for Afghans, leave alone studying in a prestigious institution. However, there are always opportunities for growth and I look forward to achieving my dreams with Lord Almighty’s grace.

 

Being an ethnic minority and coming from a poor country, I couldn't continue my education, but recently my essay has been selected for a 30% scholarship to attend a programme at the Cambridge University in the United Kingdom.

It brings a whole lot of opportunities for me and my country, given that the costs doesn't become a barrier.

I've previously been denied of multiple opportunities because of my financial situation and my context but I'm very hopeful for getting to delve into this one."
