Fund Cristin’s Top Surgery

Hi! I’m Cristin, and I’m nonbinary. I am pursuing top surgery in order to feel at home and comfortable in my body.

While this is a medical procedure, it will also provide emotional relief. Gender care is mental health care as much as it is medical care!! Dysphoria is really taxing, and top surgery will help to lessen that dysphoria for me.

I am currently on the waitlist for surgery and am waiting to schedule a consultation. Given that I’m in the early stages, I’m not sure how much the procedure will cost or how much insurance will cover. But what I do know is that no matter what, there will be costs associated with this surgery, and that as a grad student, any extra expenses become stressful or beyond my means very quickly.

Funds will be used to pay for medical bills, supplies/resources during recovery, and to cover wages for my partner and I for time taken off throughout this process.
