My name is Robert "Zebo" Zeboski.
On March 15, 2015, my life changed drastically. That Sunday morning, as I was preparing for work, I found myself in the ER at a local hospital. I was passing a great deal of blood. Since that day, I have endured three colonoscopies, three CT scans, and two EGDs. During my hospitalization I required a total of 22 units of blood. When I coded, that was when it was decided a larger hospital, two hours away, was where I needed to be. I was transferred there so they could do major surgery to find where my blood loss was coming from. During the surgery, the doctors removed some of my small intestine, half of my colon, and repaired a hernia. They sent me to another hospital for rehab. In total, I was in three different hospitals for six weeks. Additionally, I had to wear a wound vac for an additional two months. We found out a third surgery was needed to fuse my ankle with my leg, costing me another week in the hospital. Now my leg is in a cast and will take three to four months before I can return to work. The company, which I worked at for five years, fired me.
In trying to find resources to live, my unemployment was denied. I learned you have to be off work for one year before receiving SSI, State or Federal help.
I set up this Go Fund Me page to get the word out,
my wife, Brenda and I need help.
To my Facebook Friends and Family…our need is genuine. We need help to survive financially day to day. Please know. We have cut our daily expenses to the bone. I long to get back to work, but it is just not possible right now. This is really not about the medical bills, its about being able to live until I get back to work so I can pay them off.
Thank you so much for any amount you would be willing to give.
