Dr. Bryan Whaley, Professor of Communication at University of San Francisco, accompanies his students who have conducted original empirical research under his guidance to the Bay Area Undergraduate Communication Research Conference, hosted at Santa Clara University, annually.  In the past, he was able to receive a good portion of conference expenses from the university, and cover the rest from his own pocket. 

 
This year he needs some help from the community, for the funding available for students to present their research at the conference has been significantly reduced, and he can no longer absorb the difference.  Dr. Whaley is asking for your support to send these students to the conference to experience, as several students have shared, “Doing research and presenting at this conference was the best thing that’s happened to me in college.”
