LET’S HELP HELEN After Suffering A Stroke

Hi Everyone! Just to add a little more awareness to the situation, the creation of the LETS HELP HELEN fund is to aid in Mom’s road to recovery. Having being here before, it took lots of work for her to have recovered to the point which she did. Not only does she need a hospital bed but in addition to this, she will also be in need of costly medical services. In Canada we are blessed to have the health care system that we do. However, in Trinidad where mom is we are not afforded the same privileges whereas mom was able to have an extended hospital stay with access to Speech Pathologists, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Counselling. An added cost would also be to have a PEG feeding tube inserted, rather than the nasogastric tube which can come out easily and would need to be reinserted by medical personal in order to avoid food going into her lungs which would cause pneumonia. And you know how getting someone to come out and take care of that would go during these COVID-19 times... For these reasons we are asking for your help. We do understand these are hard times right now for everyone and so anything given is truly appreciated. Every little bit helps.
