We’re the Fox family—a hardworking family doing our best to navigate an overwhelming series of events. Between medical diagnoses, a serious car accident, and mounting bills, we’re reaching out for support. It’s not easy to ask—but it’s necessary.

My wife manages her small business from home and has taken care of our children. This spring, our eldest graduated from a trade program and is preparing to launch their life—an exciting moment we’re so proud of. Our youngest however has autism and very likely will never be able to leave our side. Thankfully, I’ve always been gainfully employed.

Over the past year, life turned upside down for each of us in our own ways.

In 2024, my wife and both kids were in a car accident. The car was totaled. While thankfully there were no life-threatening injuries, it’s had long-term impacts on their daily function and income. My wife’s hand has had diminished mobility and reduced her already-small income because of the need to limit her work load. We’re working with a lawyer to recover medical expenses and future care costs—but that process takes time, and the bills are already affecting our credit.

At the same time, I’ve been dealing with over a decade of chronic pain. After countless doctors and research, I finally received a diagnosis from the Mayo Clinic: hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (hEDS) and dysautonomia—both chronic, incurable conditions that come with significant physical challenges and recurring hospitalizations. Since the diagnosis in April, I’ve been hospitalized twice—more bills, more strain.

I’m stretched past my limits—financially, emotionally, and physically.
