Over 4th of July weekend, 4 year old Jack Cross was at a family picnic when his parents noticed that he wasn't his normal, energetic self. That evening he was taken to his local emergency department and was found to be anemic and have low platelets, so he was quickly transferred to the Janet Weis Children's Hospital at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville. By the next day, he was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. He was a given a blood transfusion which helped improve his condition in the short term, but he now has a long road ahead of him as he will remain in the hospital over the next few weeks as he undergoes more testing and begins chemotherapy.Charles and Rebekah Cross live in Clarks Summit, PA. Charles is a US Army Veteran who spent 6 years serving in the K9 unit and as a military police officer. Rebekah stays at home to care for Jack and their one year old daughter, Esther, and is pregnant with their 3rd child, due December 2019.
First and foremost, Charles and Rebekah ask for your prayers. We know that God will provide for their needs and that His ways are perfect. We ask that you pray for Jack's health, for the family's strength, and for peace throughout this time. If you feel called to support the family financially, we know that they would feel that blessing. They will need support for travel and meal costs, medical expenses, and childcare for their daughter.
