Every year, on the Caribbean twin island of Trinidad & Tobago, the Village Drums of Freedom host their community celebration of music, arts & culture.

This film emerged from its 50th anniversary in 2018, asking,

What keeps them going, and how did it all begin?

As many of you know, creating this film has been a long journey and a labor of love - made possible through the support of friends, family, and allies.

What your donations are needed for:

1. Post-Production - The team has labored over the last months to bring the audio, color and graphics of our edit to its highest potential. Your support is needed and appreciated to help pay them for their hard work!

2. Film Festivals - For the past few months and moving forward over the course of next year, we'll be submitting the film to festivals internationally. October of this year, WOMEX World Music Expo accepted our doc into its Film Library, available to festival attendees and alongside 8 other awesome music documentaries!

Submission fees add up quickly, as well as the costs of attending in case of selection.

3. Visibility & Distribution - Bringing a film from the editing room into the world requires many elements! A trailer, a website, press kit, posters and cards, promotional events, and lot's of communication. Bringing the film back to those who inspired us to make it in the first place is also an essential element in this process.

All of these deliverables require labor and money; your donation will help offset these continuing costs.
