The Gorecki Family Adoption +2=13
Donation protected

We began our adoption journey with Haiti this time, but after 2 years of waiting and praying we found our little girl waiting on our adoption agency’s China list. We were in love with her from the moment we first saw her photo! Lia was on a waiting child list because she was born with deformities of both of her hands and both of her feet. Like all of our other children with limb differences we believe she will be able to do anything she sets her mind to! While we updated our paperwork to adopt Lia we found a little boy that had been waiting on China’s shared list for quite a while. China had not found a family for him because of his special need of cerebral palsy and simply because he was a boy (it is very hard to find adoptive families for boys). From the moment we saw his photo we prayed we could find a way to bring him home too. We asked China if they would allow us to bring home two unrelated children from two different parts of China with two different sets of special needs. We were quite nervous that the answer would be no, so imagine our joy when we heard “yes”! Eli would become a part of our family too!

Over the last two years, we have saved enough money to completely cover the cost of an adoption. However, now that we will be bringing home two children many of the fees have doubled! We need to use some of the funds originally intended for travel to now go towards the increased adoption fees. This will leave us short on funds for our travel, and our departure will be coming soon. We would also like to bring one or two of our older children with to help us out now. We had not originally intended to do this, but this adoption trip is going to be quite a challenging journey. We will be navigating our way in a foreign country with a new 3-year-old AND a 1-year-old who have probably never seen anything outside their orphanage walls before. We will be dealing with lots of adjustments, not to mention lots of luggage, strollers, etc. We believe that bringing a couple of our older kids will not only help with our travels, but also help with the bonding process for Eli and Lia as they adjust to life outside of their orphanages.
Our travel costs are going to be huge since we now have to travel to 4 different parts of China to complete both adoptions. We will have the cost of round trip tickets to China for 4 people, 3 inner country flights for 6 people, 14-18 days of lodging for 6 people, return flights for Eli and Lia, food, etc!
Would you please pray for our family and/or consider donating to help us bring Eli and Lia home? A donation of any size will help us make our family complete. This is the last step in a long 2 year journey…soon we will be able to hold our children and smother them with love!
