*UPDATE* We are deeply touched by the outpouring of love and generosity from our family and friends that allowed us to reach our goal in under 24 hours. I have decided that any additional donations will go towards funding a second legacy bench in memory of victims of mental illness.

In lieu of flowers, and in honor of Gordon’s love of nature and parks, memorial donations may be made towards a legacy park bench and tree that will placed at Bond Park in Cary, North Carolina. This is one of the many parks where Gordon enjoyed walking trails, playing Pokémon Go, and taking in the beauty of nature. Gordon was pursuing a career in the park industry, and he would be delighted to know this will be one of the places where we come to remember him.
